1. Can your lenses be tinted?

Yes, we now offer DEFINITY™ Lenses in 16 fashion tints and 3 sunglasses. Samples can also be matched upon request



2. Are you going to be coming out with a polarized lens?
Yes, DEFINITY™ Lenses are now available in Polarized 1.50 material w/ NuPolar technology.


3. When is polycarbonate going to increase in range?
DEFINITY™  Polycarbonate Lenses will be offered in an expanded range.

4. Are Transitions® available in polycarbonate?
Yes, DEFINITY™  Lenses are available with Transitions® in polycarbonate.



5. Can we make sunglasses with your lenses?
Yes, DEFINITY™  Lenses are offered in 3 sunglass shades as well as CR 39 Polarized.



6. How do we order your lenses?
DEFINITY™  Lenses are now avaialble through all ELOA labs as well as approved independant distributors nationwide and can still be ordered directly from Roanoke lab. Definity lenses can also be ordered through Visionweb.com. For our customer service center, please call 1-800-820-2020 Monday thru Friday between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm Eastern Time. You can also fax an order to 1-866-866-2020. Frames can be conveniently picked up and returned to your office via Federal Express. Simply box up your order with the frame, apply the shipping label we provide and contact Federal Express for a pick up at 1-800-463-3339.

7. What materials are your lenses available in?
We offer DEFINITY™ CR-39® (Clear, Transitions® - Gray, Polarized-Gray), Polycarbonate (clear, Transitions® V with ESP™ - Gray/Brown) and High Index 1.60 (Clear)



8. Can I specify a center thickness?
We have a targeted thickness for minus prescriptions, polycarbonate is 1.6mm, CR-39® and Transitions® are 2.0mm and High Index is 1.60mm. Plus prescriptions are made as thin as possible and automatically include prism thinning when indicated.



9. How quickly can I get an order?
Uncut orders take approximately 3 to 4 business days and edge & mount jobs take 4 to 6 business days.



10. How do we put a “rush” on a job?
We offer upgraded shipping when an order has been completed. You may request overnight return delivery for an extra charge.



11. How long is the warranty on your lenses?
There is a 90-day satisfaction guarantee on DEFINITY™ Lenses--one time replacement only.



12. What are the prices of your lenses?
Eye Care Professionals can contact their Essilor sales representatives You can also called the Customer Service at 1-800-820-2020 Monday thru Friday between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm Eastern Time.



13. Can we request a base curve?
The optimum base curve is computed and used as part of our customized made-to-order manufacturing technology. We cannot offer specific base curve requests at this time.



14. Can we strip your AR coating?
Removing the coating is not recommended. If the Crizal Alizé is stripped from the lens, the product warranty is no longer valid.



15. Is prism available in polycarbonate?
Yes, prism can be prescribed for all materials, including polycarbonate. The Rx prism range for polycarbonate DEFINITY™ Lenses is up to 6.00 D.



16. Do you offer slab-off?
No, DEFINITY™ Lenses are made to order in a process that does not use grinding.



17. Are you coming out with a lens that can be fit with a seg height
lower than 18mm?

Yes Essilor is now offering Definity Short TM Lenses with a 15 mm seg height.



18. When will DEFINITY™ be available in my area?
Definity is now available through all ELOA labs and is being rolled out through independant distributors nationwide. To locate the nearest ELOA lab from you, click here.
